About

Patient safety, patient experience and continuous quality improvement are at the core of Quality Governance Solutions. We recognise that to achieve great outcomes for patients or the population, the environment for staff has to be one where all staff feel valued, motivated and have the correct resources and skills to undertake their roles.

Our Story

Quality Governance Solutions Limited was relaunched in January 2024, having previously traded from 2012 to 2018. At QGS, our purpose has always been to simplify systems and processes to enable the best outcomes for patients.

Quality Governance Solutions was incorporated by Suzanne Rostron following an extensive career in the NHS as an Executive Director, Board Member and Quality Governance Professional.

Our Mission

‘Supporting health and social care providers successfully make a difference with continuous quality improvement via bespoke and expert solutions, building high performing teams and fostering collaborative working environments.’

Our Values

Authentic – we are open and transparent, using real life experiences from healthcare settings, we are pragmatic, not afraid to challenge and we will be honest with you in what can be achieved.

Collaborative – we are inclusive in our approach, promote team working and recognise when working with our trusted partners would best serve you in achieving your outcomes.

Compassionate – we care about making a difference and providing your teams with the skills and environment needed to support their improvement programme. We put people first and have an appreciative enquiry approach to our reviews to support this.

Innovative – to achieve the best possible outcomes, innovation is key! We are focused on improvement and that means taking some risks, being curious about current practice and future ideas, coaching and supporting your teams to innovate with confidence.

Learning – continuous learning is what we do! We learn from keeping up-to-date with best practice, partnerships with other companies, training, conferences and of course, working with you!

Our Team

Suzanne Rostron – Company Director

Creating the right environment through team development, continuous quality improvement and intuitive quality governance systems is the key to achieving the best possible outcomes. Sounds simple! In reality, as an experienced NHS Executive and Quality Governance Professional, Suzanne has lived experience of how challenging this can be. With over 20 years’ experience as a senior leader, with specialist quality governance knowledge and expertise, Suzanne knows that a one size solution doesn’t fit all.

In addition to extensive experience in acute, mental health, community and ambulance settings, Suzanne has also worked as a specialist advisor with the CQC and an Improvement Director with NHSI, understanding both the provider and regulator perspective. As a trained coach, Suzanne gives teams and individuals the space and challenge required to identify the best solutions.

Suzanne has a fantastic record of accomplishment around engaging and inspiring clinical teams, especially within challenged organisations, to make a difference for people; for those who use the services and for those who deliver them.
